Do you have some special knowledge, technique, skills or other interesting information that you'd like to share with the readers of MusicGearReview.com? Maybe you're an expert songwriter and willing to share your approach with others. Maybe you're a drummer that has mastered the art of twirling your sticks and are willing to teach folks who are willing to learn. Maybe you just found several great patches for the latest digital guitar effects processor and you'd like to share how you programmed them. Whatever!

If you can write a clear, grammatically correct, yet easy to understand article of between 500 and 1500 words, we're interested in checking out what you have to share! This is a great opportunity to get yourself some exposure as a writer, or even for webmasters to gain some exposure for their site.

All you have to do is contact us via the form on our contacts page requesting the email address to send the article to. We will provide the email address and ask you to submit your article in either text or Word document format, and, attach a jpg image that can be used with the article. We reserve the right to not post your article for any reason, but especially if we feel it's so terribly written or offensive that it would not be appropriate for all readers of MusicGearReview.com. Having said that, here are some additional rules:

1. Articles should be focused on music gear related topics for musicians, recording pros or hobbyists and other gear enthusiasts, including bass players, drummers and percussionists, keyboard and synth players and DJ's. There is no problem with articles that reference specific products as an example that illustrate a point or specific functionality, but articles that are basically product sales pieces are not appropriate.

2. In this day and age, attention spans seem to be very short. So we are attempting to keep article in the under 1,500 words, but this is just a guideline. It is more important to provide good coverage of the issue than worry about the number of words. Shorter items are also acceptable.

3. All articles will be formatted as a separate HTML page on our site and carry the authors byline, a 25 word summary describing you and/or your organization with a link your website (if you have one), and an invitation for readers to email you directly (with an email link) for more information on the topic or your services.

4. Since our site is a continuously updated site, there is no deadline. Generally, an article will be published to the site within 24 hours of final approval by our editorial staff. Once posted, it will maintain front page coverage until it rotates off with normal updating of the site and will reside indefinitely in our article archives.

5. The best formats for us to deal with are plain text files or Word documents, but PDF files also work as long as there is no “cut and paste” protection.

6. Finally, and most importantly, do not attempt to send copywrited work to us as your article. This is known as plagiarism and is punishable by law. Every article submitted will be thoroughly reviewed and tested for plagiarism, including string searches on major search engines to test for copyright issues.

Don't hesitate to write us and let us know if you have questions. Just imagine, you can get your words and thoughts in front of over 400,000 folks each month! Keep in mind the guidelines above, however, as we will simply discard any material that does not meet the guidelines.

Thanks, and good luck!
