PEAVEY & ROCK HOUSE PRODUCE 'TOTAL MUSICIAN' INSTRUCTIONAL DVD(Peavey | Posted 2004-02-21)  Feb. 20, 2004, PEAVEY INT'L. HEADQUARTERS*Rock House, the leader in music instruction on DVD, has teamed with Peavey Electronics Corporation to produce a DVD designed to give beginner musicians an edge toward learning their instruments. Peavey is distributing the DVD through its authorized retailers as a stand-alone product and as a value-added incentive for consumers who purchase a Peavey Stage Pack® beginner kit.
The Total Musician Series DVD will be bundled inside Peavey beginner Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar and Bass Stage Packs, as well as the mid-level Peavey International* Series II drum kits. The Stage Packs include everything needed to learn these core instruments, including a Peavey amplifier, guitar or bass, strap, gig bag, extra strings, electronic tuner and the easy-to-follow instructional Total Musician Series DVD from Rock House.
The co-branded, custom-made DVD includes 40 minutes each of beginner electric guitar, bass, acoustic guitar and drum instruction using The Rock House Method®, the most widely used music instruction method in the world. The instruction is presented in both English and Spanish includes a video chord chart, a special section on how to assemble the Peavey International Series II drum set, a section showcasing Peavey guitars and much more.
"We custom-designed the instructional portion of the DVD to help Peavey customers start playing quickly," said John McCarthy, President of Rock House. "The faster we have them playing, the more likely they are to continue their musical education. That's good for aspiring musicians, Peavey and Rock House."
The DVD will also give Peavey customers free membership to Rock House's lesson support site at www.rockhousemethod.com. This feature, exclusive to Rock House and its partners, offers students supplementary support for the lessons featured on the DVD. Once registered at the support site, students can interact with the community, utilize the additional learning tools and access special features such as forums where they can chat with other students or ask the instructor questions; download a metronome or backing tracks to play along with; and find loads of other content to create a fun learning experience. To receive the free membership, students are directed through www.peavey.com to access Rock House's unique registration system.

Peavey announced the product to its dealers at the Summer 2003 NAMM trade show and released it in North America at Winter 2004 NAMM. Peavey also plans to release the DVD worldwide in several languages by summer 2004.
