So for both of these, if anyone could help to shoot me in the right direction for some semi simple/still productive songs that would be helpful.

Edit: Most of the time, if I can hear the song, I can play it.

What type of music do you like? Are you playing by ear or by notes? I myself can not read notes worth a lick so for me it takes a little longer getting the feel for a song before I try it. And a Jackson Dinky is not that bad to start off with, I had something years ago that looked like my brother gave it to me after he found it in the dumpster, be thankful it could be much worse.
