I just wanted to put this out there. I've been listening to Esbjorn Svensson Trio for a while now, and I haven't seen anyone else do the same kind of setup. He actually mic's his piano and runs the microphone line straight to a PA. There is also a set of magnetic pickups on the soundboard of the piano running into a Line 6 Pod.

I always find it really creative, and I get the same line that Svensson (the pianist) used to get all the time when I turn people on to the group. "I never knew I could listen to and enjoy jazz until I heard Esbjorn Svensson Trio." I definitely recommend them.
