Chris, I'd be happy to write a How To article on anything in Studio related - setting up a home studio, pro tools operation, signal flow, ect. Let me know if you have any interest or ideas!

Alex, I think an article on setting up a home studio would be fantastic for the recording section. Feel free to start when you're ready and just let me know when it's ready for review. Actually, taking that article and expanding it into a buying guide, would be even better as we need a strong buying guide for that section.

I agree, there are so many choices out there in setups, for any newbie, it gets confusing. To add to the problem, when you ask advice in the music store of your choice, the salesperson will always steer you to what he or she knows best. This is not always what is best for YOU. I opted for the software/computer USB interface (M-Audio) and came up with driver issues and lots of confusion on making it all work. I am currently looking at just getting a good multi-track, stand alone recorder for future simplicity. Had I known then what I know now, that may have been my best choice. Having guidance in this area from other users would have been very helpful then. Input from members would be very helpful in this area and help people understand what is best for their individual needs in the beginning, as well as expansion when needed later. I would welcome more information as I am sure others would as to what is best for them and how it will best serve their needs. Hopefully, with the help of other members, this concept will come to be. Thanks (in advance) to all who will contribute to a great concept!
