Has anyone ever used clash cymbols or finger symbols in their band? I know most bands have cymbols on their drum set and was just wondering if anyone had used hand cymbols?

I have only seen clash or finger cymbals used in marching bands, school bands and orchestras. I love the sound of the clash cymbals though, of course I was a band geek back in high school lol!

I just saw Conor Oberst not too long ago, and his bassist had finger cymbals.

I should add that he put on an AMAZING show. I would go as far as to say (even several days after the concert, now that it's had time to sink in) that he's a modern day Bob Dylan and David Bowie combined. Just considering all of the variance in his work from Bright Eyes, Death Cab, Postal Service, and others, now to Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band. They're pretty heavy compared to his other stuff.

I don't know where I've been but I had not heard of Conor Oberst until this thread. I hopped over to Youtube and checked him out. He is a very talented musician indeed.
