gearhed newbie Registered: 05/23/09 Posts: 25	I was going through my old pedals today and came across my Rat pedal [not to be confused with the Turbo Rat]. This little number rocks and delivers great sound even at a low volume, which means it's great for late night practicing. Just a couple of knobs makes it easy to use. Since this is a music gear review forum I actually wanted to give a short review/ shout out about something I think others out there would like.

Micromoog stranger Registered: 07/06/09 Posts: 23	I've never heard of that. I have a Big Muff from the mid-seventies and I played with a guy who used a Tube Screamer. Is the rat a fuzz box like the Big Muff or more of an effect that gives cleaner crunch?

It's two rackmounted Rats with a foot switch. Kills. It has very cool routing and patching possibilities too. I read in an article once that ProCo never gave any Rats away for consideration and that Joe Walsh and Joe Perry, who each claim to have not bought a piece of gear in 35 years bought one. But I plugged my friend's old no-name bass into one and had an absolute ball.
