I also play the Dimarzio Ultras, another
jazz-type humbucker, and I prefer these
Bartolinis, especially for a passive bass.
Generally I much prefer an active EQ-pre,
or even a totally active system, but these
Bart J's "created" one of the few passive
basses ever to suit my taste.
