I've played a few at Guitar Center and read a few reviews, but I wanted to get a community opinion if possible. In fact, I like all the Squier basses. The buzz over on Talkbass seems to be positive. Duncan designed pickups are a selling point, too. I think the extra money for the VM as opposed to something like a SX Jazz would be well spent. I owned a Squier fretless Jazz briefly and was very happy with the quality and sound.
