Have you seen this? It's for little kids. You hitch it up to your television and it's like a video game. They learn not only how to play the piano but how to read the music as well--all while playing a video game.

We wanted to try something similar with my niece but the program to use for it for some reason did not work with the TV in her home. Do you have a name brand or anything I can look up with?

The piano I was talking about is called, "Fisher Price I can play piano system". This one does hitch to the television. There is different software that goes with it.

Are there only certain television sets that would allow this, we have a projection big screen tv (Philips makes it?) and I wasn't sure how the hookups would work, but that seems good too.

It's probably RCA (the red, yellow, and white cords?) judging by the look of it, and considering it's from Fisher Price. I highly doubt they're shipping these things to go through a Blu-Ray player or anything like that. You should be fine with your projection TV. I don't think I've seen more than two TVs without RCA jacks in my life. They started putting them on there before I was born and haven't stopped since. It's a standard.

I only know a piano from Japan? Its Keyboard actually. The keys that are being played in the song would blink so that the kids would know what keys to push when playing it. It really teaches the kid how to use the piano easily.
