I want to play the keyboard. I have never had piano lessons before. Don't you need to start with piano lessons to learn the basics before you play a keyboard? or are they completely different?

They're almost the same. The only difference is like that of an electric guitar and an acoustic guitar. Different sound. Slightly different feel, but the technique is almost exactly alike. Give it a go!

As far as playing is concerned, if you get a full size keyboard, they are basically one in the same. Go ahead and give it a shot. You can get free lessons online at places like GoPiano or LearnPianoOnline.

Free lessons, online? Really? Oh, you better believe I am going to be rushing over there and checking it out. I never knew that. Thank you for the heads up. smile
