Does anyone else here own any old analog synths? I still have my Micromoog, Pro One and Prophet 600 which is analog although it's digitally controlled.

I've been kind of happy to see them become popular again a few years ago and I like adding them to the mix every now and then. They can be a little touchy if they haven't been used in a while.

Micromoog, I'm staring down a Yamaha Clavinova that I've had since I was about 8 in jealousy. Digital Pianos just can't do enough for me anymore. I want a Nord Electro or Stage SO BADLY, but I'm lacking the bread. Just need to practice more, get more gigs, more money...wash, rinse, repeat haha.

I remember Joe Zawinul used to be a big fan of the Prophet synthesizers. What do you think about em?

I loved the Prophet 5 the first time I heard one in a store. I heard it through a Leslie, which made the organ patches very effective at the time.

I really like my Prophet 600 and spent about $350 on it a couple of summers ago having it fixed. If I'm controlling it with Cubase, I have to put the signal into and out of my Yamaha QX5 sequencer - There's probably another way to get the right results but that's the only way I know of to make the Prophet 600 not have stuck notes. I think that somehow filters out MIDI data that it doesn't know what to do with.

I really like what the retro oscillators add to a mix of VST sounds.
