I'd like to pick up playing the Irish Bodhran and was wondering how easy it is to learn to play. I have a few ideas to incorporate it into some of my dulcimer clubs tunes. I think the rhythm would help with timing for one and for emphasis for another. Does anyone play one?

I had honestly never heard of a bodhran before reading your post but found a site that looks like it would be a good starting point for you. See http://www.ceolas.org/instruments/bodhran/beginner.shtml

How interesting! Are you a Bodhran player? I honestly did not know about the Bodhran, but thanks to you, I learned something new. I really feel that blending Irish Bodhran tunes with your clubs tunes would be a great and innovative idea. Wish you luck!
