This would be absolutely fantastic. I'm curious as to the potential of long term issues on the neck, though. I'd love to have the $5000 lying around to get one and try it out, but college seems not to allow for such things to happen...*sigh*.

I'm not digging up any problems on him, but it's a little late to do a full search...I'll check him out more deeply later on.

Gibson put out a Les Paul that has electric tuning gears and allows you to switch between standard and open tunings. Sells for around $3000, I think. I don't think it did too well, though.
