What are your thoughts on the major differences between the two jaugernauts? What do you like about one company or another? What are the strong and weak points of each? Which would you purchase? Thanks for your input.

Hi Matt. I have a Martin right now, but I've played a couple Taylors too. In my opinion, the Martin has got a bigger sound, but the action is sometimes a little higher than some mainstream Dreadnoughts in the $1000 range. Taylor's to me, are like butter. I love them and my next acoustic will probably be a Taylor.

Hi Chris. I have one of each and they both have there unique qualites. The only problem with Taylor is they are so hit or miss anymore. I definatley recommend that if you decide to purchase one that you find the model you want and then play many of the same model. One of my old friends calls it "Wednesday's" guitar. Two of the exact same models will sound completly different. Taylor is not the only one with this problem but it just seems they have recently had more misses than hits.
