...and I wonder what any experienced guitar players think of this low priced ($399.99) Takamine for a decent gig/studio acoustic electric. I'll be playing all types of music with this (if I decide on it), from slow to fast music. I got to play it in store (not plugged in) and liked the feel and the general sound of it. I've been playing music for almost 20 years, but have never bought an acoustic electric (though I've played a lot of older models before). I'm not a fan of Ovation (maybe I've just played too many cheap tortoise shell shaped Ovations), and would appreciate any good feedback on this possible choice. Many thanks in advance!

I have heard several Takamine acoustric/electric guitars and they sound fine to me. One of the teachers at the music store I used to work in had a Takamine classical and loved it. Workmanship is as good as or better than other guitars in that price range.
