Epiphone / Baxter VS Acoustic Electric Guitar Reviews

Epiphone / Baxter VS Electric Acoustic Guitar
Guitars
5 out of 5!

The guitar came from Mars Music of Cincinnati. My son bought it for me for a father's day present so I don't know the purchase price of the instrument. I had been trying out Taylors Guilds Ovations and Takamines. I'd honestly never heard of the Skunk. Man what a surprise! Beautiful sunburst finish incredible neck gorgeous trim. But then THE SOUND!

The Electar/Shadow electronics offer both standard and XLR outs coupled with full EQ and on-board pre-amp. Besides that unplugged it sounds like a classic Gibson acoustic. The Skunk has blown away my pals both in the studio and on the stage. Probably the only criticism possible is that the tuning keys aren't on the same scale of quality as the rest of the guitar. Seeing as it was set-up at the Gibson Custom Shop Gibson couldn't give the store away. They have guitars to sell too.

Honestly the box itself is truly top notch. Excellent craftsmanship. I'm sure if I knew the price I would probably make a lot of friends sick who are playing top of the line axes like Taylors and Takamines. The Skunk emblem at the 12th fret, the inlays on the rest of the neck and lastly; tasteful signature on the headstock make this a truly exquisite guitar. It is definitely a player's axe! I was truly surprised by the quality of this guitar.

Epiphone has retaken its place as a proud member of the Gibson family. The hunk of junk days are obviously over. Guys who are out there nervously playing gigs with that cherished Martin or '62 Hummingbird march down to your local Epiphone dealer and demand that he get one of these sweeties in-store. It could be the answer to your nightmares.

And by the way the tuning keys don't suck.
