I bought my Gibson LP Studio 6 months ago. The reason I decided on
Gibson was name and quality. I purchased it new, for AUS$2000.
The tone and look, classic LP, wine red, with gold hardware, looks amazing
under lights. Gibson sustain. The notes ring out long after the last
strum.
Solid body, mahogany with maple top. Gibson are renown for their
guitars.
First instrument I've owned that didn't halve in value the moment I left
the store.
I've dropped it, thrown it onto planes, played it until my fingers were
raw, and it's still making me sound better than I am.

Long & McCuade,
Oshawa, ON, Canada
Christmas Present from girlfriend (now wife-how could I let her go?)
~$1400 CDN
I love the look of the Les Paul, and the studio has a very clean look to
it.
Mine is black with gold hardware.
I love the sound I get when I combine it with my Marshall amp.
I like the weight. I have always liked heavy guitars
The strap holder things. I had a huge problem of the strap always
letting go from the holder close to the neck. Sometimes I like to
lift the neck of the guitar up and the strap just lets go. Good
thing I always had a hand on the neck. Got a set of strap-locks,
problem solved.
Solid. No complaints here.
My wife made an excellent choice. I would have no problem living my
life with just Les Paul's.
