History:
Purchase: My father purchased it on eBay for $25. I have always wanted a china on my set, and I heard that Wuhan was the best company to go to for the best sounding and traditionally-built china cymbals.
What I Like About This Wuhan 16" China: I love this cymbal!! It's everything I wanted in a china cymbal. I, personally, don't go for the more traditional darker-sounding chinas with huge sustains. I like chinas that have somewhat short decays and absolutely rip through the music (similar to a Sabian AAXtreme and Sabian AA Metal-X Chinese), and this Wuhan does all of that and more. Plus, for $25.00, it's an absolute steal.
What I Do NOT Like About The Wuhan 16" China: Nothing...absolutely nothing of major importance. I wished that Wuhan made these under a brilliant finish, but wher am I to nit-pick?!
Wuhan 16" China Quality Rating: I have read reviews that they are thin built and won't last to long. Even though I'm a hard player, personally, I think this one will last me for a long time. I have an A Zildjian Thin Crash that has survived 6 long years of absolute abuse, and not one crack or blemish whatsoever. Plus, the band director for my high school has the same exact china cymbal in his auxillary section, and it is in very good shape. The only things that haven't survived my abuse are a crop of Zildjian ZBT cymbals (and, of course, they suck!), so, this one will definitely not break.
Review Summary: Bottom line: Wuhan makes the best china cymbals...PERIOD! I recommend this model, as well as any others to anyone and everyone who is interested. GO WUHAN!!
