History:
Purchase: I always wanted a Martin. I read that the HD28 was THE standard. Elderly for $2000
What I Like About This Martin HD28VR: The tone is magnificent. Clear as a bell and powerful. Martin dreadnoughts only sing when strung with medium gauge strings and this guitar is no exception. Use medium Daddarios or Martins and it will cut through any blusgrass band. The workmanship was great. The grain on the top is tight. The color of the top is perfect. I had to have the neck reset after a few years, though. Be sure to register the guitar. It's easy now.
What I Do NOT Like About The Martin HD28VR: I had to have the neck reset after a few years, though. Be sure to register the guitar. It's easy now.

Review Summary: Please buy this guitar if you want a Martin. This one's prettier than the standard D 28. It's made just a bit better.
