G and L Review: 1988 Skyhawk

G and L Electric Guitars

History:

Purchase: I would say about this time last year i purchased a Dean electric guitar off my friend. Well I liked it and all so i thought I'd show my neighbor knowing he plays guitar. When i showed him it he said "where did you get that piece of ****". Then he said here take this, and pulled out an old dusty case. He opened it and it was a n original 88' skyhawk. I was amazed at how beautiful it was. He said "here take this and go learn some guitar" Well ive had it for around a year now. When i play it then play some one elses guitar i can hear and feel a difference. It truely is a piece of fine craftsmanship.

What I Like About This G and L 1988 Skyhawk: I love the playability and the sound of it. It can play any style of music. I especially love the different tones of the pick-ups. Im not for sure but it think it is like this. Neck pickup = lead, Middle pickup = rhythm, and the bridge pickup = distortion. thats why it give a hum.

What I Do NOT Like About The G and L 1988 Skyhawk: I dont really have any dislikes for this guitar, just the hum it gives in two positions.

G and L 1988 Skyhawk Quality Rating: Mine has a rock solid Maple body with great accoustic tone. the neck is bolt on but has the best sustain for any bolt-on neck i have ever played. and it never seems to go out of tune, which is awesome.

Review Summary: I love this guitar, and wouldnt trade it for the world. If any of you get a chance to get one, do it. You'll be glad you did.
