Line 6 Review: Tone Core - Uber Metal

Line 6 Guitar Effects

History:

Purchase: Tried this pedal at a local guitar shop with a friend, he bought it and I bought one just a few days later. It instantly struck us both as a "must have" product. It usually runs $100 but it's worth every penny.

What I Like About This Line 6 Tone Core - Uber Metal: Whats not to like?! This is the distortion pedal we've all been waiting for. Where the others fall short, this pedal steps it up with unbelievable amounts of distortion, power, and control. There's 6 knobs (level, gain, high, mid, mid-scoop, and low) and they are all quite sensitive. The slightest turn makes a world of change. Any (and I do mean ANY) sound is achievable. There's also 3-way switch for 3 types of distortion to choose from (Metal, Pulverize, and Insanity), all are very capapble, flexible and very cool. There's also a 2 level noise gate that is quite effective in cleaning up the sound when useing a lot of palm muteing. If every other dist. pedal has left you feeling unsatisfied, head to www.line6.com and find out more. Better yet, go find a store that has 'em and try one out, I know that when you do, you'll be $100 poorer but you'll be swimming in unlimited distortion. Oh, it's also built like a tank, it weighs almost 3 pounds!!! All metal construction.

What I Do NOT Like About The Line 6 Tone Core - Uber Metal: There is nothing to dislike about this product.

Line 6 Tone Core - Uber Metal Quality Rating: Top f'n notch. WW3 will come and go, roaches and my Uber Metal pedal will inherit the earth.

Review Summary: I put this in the "dont ask, just buy" catagory! Definitly check it out now!

Line 6 Spider II 212 150 Watt - im going to give this amp a 9.5 / 10 purley because I think there a .5 in improvemrnt to be made, but its one hell of a good amp for the money and if youre not an amp connosuir moaning about the lack of valves or "Tubes", then this one is for you....

Line 6 Pod 2.0 - Once again, fiddle with it. Use the in depth software that comes with it and you will achieve a very convincing tube tone, the best on the market to date. Effects and wah don't cut it, but what can you do, it's cheap, and can do some important thing...

Line 6 Bass POD - get it ...

Line 6 Variax 500 - I find the black 500 VERY appealing visually but then again, a guitar is about tone to me, not eye candy. This thing sounds better than my old Paul and buzzless strats - wondferful!...
