Saluda Review: 14 inch Rock Crash

Saluda Drums Percussion

History:

Purchase: $26.00 Ebay

What I Like About This Saluda 14 inch Rock Crash: Looks good, adds some flair to the cymbal set up

What I Do NOT Like About The Saluda 14 inch Rock Crash: Sound is weak. If tightend down at all it is just a peice of tin. Kept loose it has a quick ring to it.

Saluda 14 inch Rock Crash Quality Rating: Has stood up well, but I am not a pounder. Stays looking clean even when my son uses his black sticks. I do not see any warping or cracks after extendng playing on it

Review Summary: Not a bad buy for the price. I would like to try some of their more high end models and see if they have improved the line. If you are starting out this is a good cymbal.

Rating of this Saluda product: 3

Saluda 16" Mist Medium Crash & 18" Mist Rock Crash - Sweetness is the best word to describe Saluda's mist line. Saluda SSX Cybmal Set - These cymbals are definatly better than anything else one would get for a comparable price, and the 16" crash is a really great cymbal; as is the 10" splash and the ride, after one sticks some tape on it. THe highhats, although rather harsh sounding...

Saluda 18" Voodoo China Cymbal - I really recommend these. These are professional cymbals. This has hand hammering like no other cymbal I have seen. I am a believer in Saluda Cymbals!...

Saluda 8" / 10" SS Rock Splash - These are quite good beginner to mid-level cymbals, with good volume, nice high pitch, quick decay, and sound quite musical when blending with other cymbals. These cymbals are very thin, and I am a hard hitter, making these cymbals almost disposable....

Saluda SSX 20" Rock Ride - I really have fallen in love with these Saluda's (this is my 3rd purchase). They make a quality product and as a long time drummer I like to think I know what I am talking about and I do know what I like. This reminds me of the mid eighties when I bo...
