Paiste Review: 20" Dimensions Power Bell Ride

Paiste Drums Percussion

History:

Purchase: It was a temporary use from one of my uncles before getting a 20" Sabian AAX Stage Ride. Not sure how much they cost, but music123.com and wwbw.com sell them.

What I Like About This Paiste 20" Dimensions Power Bell Ride: This was perfectly what I was looking for in a ride. The stick defintion from is extremely cutting and the overtones are a nice washy metallic and dry mix. The bell on isn't the biggest you can get, but it's the nicest and most versatile for loud settings. Very useful for rock, metal, hard rock, punk...anything that demands hard playing.

What I Do NOT Like About The Paiste 20" Dimensions Power Bell Ride: Using the shaft of the stick will get this huge wash that, for me, I personally liked...but for some, they may not appreciate it as a good crash ride.

Paiste 20" Dimensions Power Bell Ride Quality Rating: The material is basic sheet bronze (CuSn8, B8, malleable, etc.) made in basic Paiste traditional fashion. This cymbal is lathed and hammered for its overtones, and the build is extra-heavy weight, for heavy sticking, and cutting power.

Review Summary: Usually, I'm a Sabian lover, but this ride is one thing they don't make. Since I used it for one gig, this has been my main ride. I recommend this to anyone who plays rock, metal, hard rock, punk, anything that demands loud music. This ride, even though it is sheet bronze, Paiste at their best.
