History: Hobby drummer with great taste!
Purchase: Bought a 20-14-12-10-14 birch kit in purple sparkle from a guy in North Andover for 600$, what a great price!
Pros: Great studio sound, dry and bassy, and great resonance. Looks fantastic. Mounting hardware is sturdy. Bearing edges are very nice and smooth. A pro set all the way at a very reasonable price.
Cons: The snare is a bit ringy and is probably the weakest link in this shell kit. The drums don't project as much as I would like them to, but that's my personal taste, there's a bit of liveliness missing.
Classic Birch Quality: Terrific bearing edges, great looks, sturdy hardware, no unwanted tones or sounds. Ludwig Summary: A professional drumset at an intermediate-level price. If you see one, buy it, you won't regret it.
