History: Started on a Stewart arch-top when I was 12. Went electric 12-string in a garage band in 1968. Played Bob Dylan in university on an Eko 12-sting.
Purchase: Got my F212-XL new in 1974 for $450 in Toronto. Still got it. It is the best 12 string there is.
Pros: Boom. Rich harmonics. Big hips.
Cons: Saddle plate would separate in heat. Got it fixed.
F212-XL Quality: double truss, excellent spruce, great mahogany Guild Summary: Shoudda bought two
