Guild D44M-Blonde Review

Guild Acoustic Guitars

History: Started on a Stewart arch-top when I was 12. Went electric 12-string in a garage band in 1968. Played Bob Dylan in university on an Eko 12-sting.

Purchase: Manny's Music on 54th in NYC, 1975... $350. Shortly after it was stolen, so I bought the same thing in Toronto.

What I Like About This Unit: Sassy, snap, punch, forgiving, plays Ike an electric. Bluegrass, blues, too loud for folk. Likes a good flat-picking

What I Do NOT Like About The Guild D44M-Blonde: nuthin.

D44M-Blonde Quality: spruce top, birds-eye maple back and sides, very well-matched, 5-piece neck. durable, strong

Summary: Ha! what a cannon.

It's an outstanding guitar. Every time I come across a vintage D-55 I get this nauseous feeling in my gut. My first D-55 was made from Brazilian ros
