History: I'm a musician of about 8 years, both as a drummer and as a tombone player. I'm in and out of projects lately, but I'll play and record for anything (probably except for violent rap! XD).
Purchase: I purchased it from my local Guitar Center fo $34 brand new. I bought to replace my 5 year old 10" Sabian B8 Pro Splash that had a kin in it and was starting to lose its sound quality (it started to sound REALLY tinny...REALLY annoying).
What I Like About This Paiste PST 5 10" Splash: This is a fantastic sheet bronze splash for the moeny. It's extremely bright for its size, in its shimmer. Its overtones are deep, but not over powering, and they don't sound tinny, compared to other splashes. This splash will also project. Oddly enough, it's doesn't get stickmarks really easily. Well, I'm not complaining!Very nice!
What I Do NOT Like About The Paiste PST 5 10" Splash: I bought mine slightly warped, but it's no problem. It doesn't affect the sound, which is fantastic!
Paiste PST 5 10" Splash Quality Rating: This cymbal is very durable, and doesn't stickmark easily.
Review Summary: Paiste knows their sheet bronze, and their lower-line models prove it. I recommend not only this 10" Splash, but the rest of the PST 5 money. Paiste sound and quality at 1/4 of the price. Highly recommended!
