Thor Custom Bass Review

History: I play bass. I have been playing for about 10 years. I'm not currently in a band, but have been in the past. I play all types of music, but I am most partial to Jazz and Blues.

Purchase: I custom ordered the instrument directly from Karl Thorkildsen. I paid $1650, with the padded gig bag included.

Pros: It is exactly what I wanted.



Cons: ---

Custom Bass Quality: 32" scale, headless, fretless. Set up with 3 bartolini pickups, 2 wired in a "J" configuration, and 1 set up as a "P" configuration. Walnut top and back around a mahagony core. Ebony fretboard. Very well constructed. Great tone, bite and sustain.

Thor Summary: Great luthier. Great instrument. Very nice price. I thoroughly recommend you contact Karl at Thor Bass if you want a great instrument at a great price.
