On 2008-11-13, King666nothing gave this Ibanez Electric Guitar a 5
History: I've been playing for about 6 years, including my unsuccessful 1.5 yrs with acoustic guitar. I'm playing mostly metal. Trying to compose my own stuff (but not expecting to be famous with that any time soon). Not in a band right now, but looking for one. Music tastes - anything that's heavy. Four all time favorite bands - Metallica, Megadeth, Pantera and Slayer.

Purchase: Was looking for a guitar with Whammy bar (sold my Dean VX). Found this guitar at Guitar Center. They had Labor day sale, so the price was lower than it should be. I paid $349.99 for it.
Pros: First of all, the look. The color is sick! The RG shape is also cool. The neck is very comfortable, despite being bolt-on - to me Ibanez guitars have the most comfortable bolt-on necks. The reversed headstock looks awesome. Pickups are very aggressive, which is exactly what I needed.
Cons: The only flaw is Ibanez floating bridge (EDGE III). I prefer Licensed Floyd Rose. Tuning the guitar, or restringing it (especially when changing gauge size) drives me crazy.
Quality: Overall quality is great for a guitar made in Indonesia. But I've never seen bad Ibanez guitars, so....

Summary: Great guitar for professional players as well as for beginners. Feels, sounds and looks very good. And it's affordable!!!
