Yamaha Review: Pacifica 112 Maple

Yamaha Electric Guitars

History:

Purchase: Bought the guitar from Guitar Slingers in Berkhampsted, UK. Cost 179 notes.

What I Like About This Yamaha Pacifica 112 Maple: Looks good, Plays good, Sounds good. Nice selection of pickups with 5-ways pickup selector. Tone and Volume controls work well, vibrato works well, came ready tuned and good to go straight out of the box.

What I Do NOT Like About The Yamaha Pacifica 112 Maple: Humbucker is slightly loose.. Apparently this is normal. Tone could be a little bit better, but it still sounds as good as a guitar three times the price.

Yamaha Pacifica 112 Maple Quality Rating: Brilliant all round quality and construction. Supposedly there's meant to be a problem with the output jack coming loose or something like that. I've not seen this yet.

Review Summary: Mental beginners guitar.. If you're thinking about buying an electric guitar, start with this one. It is absolutely superb.

Rating of this Yamaha product: 5

Yamaha Dynamic Guitar - I love this guitar, partially because of how I stumbled across it and rescued it, and partially because it sounds so lovely! If you have the luck to get your hands on one give it a play and, if it's been resonably well loved over it's life, I think y...

Yamaha F-310 - The guitar has a very good sound for the price, it is a decent first guitar. Just be carefull what type of strings you place on it. ...

Yamaha BB404 - Awsome bass, although it's the base (haha..) model of the BB range, it's much better (in my opinion) than the lower RBX gank. I had a go in shops, and the RBX seem a bit cheap and tacky by comparison. I'm quite new to playing bass, but it's easy t...

Yamaha DGX 300 - Go get yourself one. This is about the best value I've ever seen in a keyboard. If you like 'real' piano music, then this is for you too. With 78 keys, and as many sounds as you'll ever want, this is truly an awesome keyboard....

Yamaha ERG 121 - It's a good guitar really for anyone learning to play but it's not really a life time thing, you'll outgrow it. But it's not bad to start making your own riffs on and things....

Yamaha Oak Custom Drums - Bottom line: Buy these drums! I had a Pearl Masters Studio BRX kit before this and it sounded good, but for the money, these Oak drums sound just as good, plus, they're a couple thousand dollars cheaper. Even a bigger bonus is that they're more gorg...

Yamaha PAC 112 - If your budget is under $400, then don't bother looking around much more. This really is a tough guitar to beat, and will soon gladly buy one to go with my other Yamaha. They make some incredble lower end guitars, especialy compaired to the bigger na...
