Purchase: i bought this guitar at Alan's Discount Guitar in Ala. I bought it for around 375$. Pros: Cons: It has an amazing sound. I play everything fro mCountry (chris cagle, etc.) to creed metallica and led zepplin. It sounds great on all of the styles. It also has a very beautiful body, and it is amazing. I got my guitar in red, it is transparent, and you can still see the grains. It has a made on neck (not bolt on) and this is a plus. The humbuckers are amazing(mine are the gibson version of the stock ones that come on it). Quality: Great very solid guitar. I have dropped many times, and i have not had a scratch. I LOVE IT. Summary: AMAZING!!!!!!!!! I love it!!!!!!!!!! On 2002-09-03, leflic gave this Epiphone Electric Guitar a 5
Purchase: Bought it for 459.00 canadian at Jimi's in Montreal, Québec, Canada.
Had the choice between this brand new SG or a used Gibson SG at 1200.00
The choice was easy to make. Pros: Love the neck, the finish (cherry), the sound... surprised myself to realise I had been playing for over an hour without any kind of distortion.
Than I fired the Peavey Pro Fex II, and wow!!!
Never heard the phone ring...... Cons: Nothing so far. Quality: Top quality! Great finish...at least 1/8 of an inch of clear coat!
Great Gibson designed pick-ups.
Beautyfull pearl inlays.
No flaws.
Summary: I presently own a 1966 Goya 101R, a 1988 Usa Fender Strat HM , I once owned a Standard Usa Strat, a Les paul Studio...etc...
But I have to admit that this is the first time
that when I'm not playing my Epiphone SG-400 , I just sit there and admire it resting on its stand!
I have been playing guitar for over 36 years, and can honestly say that with this Epiphone SG-400 I finally found my true love! On 2002-01-20, Guitarist 7 gave this Epiphone Electric Guitar a 5
Purchase: I bought this guitar from Music Stop in Dartmouth. Cost me $700 Canadian, came with a hard-shell case. Pros: It's really easy to play. I had a shity guitar at first, and once I got this one, I was playing much more often and greatly improved. It's very easy to play, and light-weight.
It's easy to mobe from fret to fret, and is comfortable on the hands. Cons: When you aren't holding the guitar, when it's on it's strap it points down. This has to do with the strap button positions. It's not that big of a negative, though.
When I forst got it the sound would go out completly on Treble mode. I had to take it back 3 or 4 times so they could send it back to the company to fix the wiring. This was annoying, but I haven't had any problems with this for well over 10 months. Quality: This product is very well made. You can really feel the quality of the guitar when you start playing. Summary: It's overall a great guitar.
