History:
Purchase: I bought this amp from Musiciansbuy.com fro $850, no tax, no shipping charge. I was playing in a punk band for a coupla’ months, and the Workingmans 15’ combo + extention cabinet(15“) just was not cuttin’ it! The drummer could not get himself to play softer, and the guitar players’ Peavey 5150 was cranked to an obnoxiously high level, so I got the SWr Bass 750, and the SWR Workingmans Tower(8x10)
What I Like About This SWR Bass 750 Amplifier: This amp kicks ass! plus, it has a fan, which the SWR 15” combo does not, so I could fry eggs on the heat sink after playing it at a lowd setting, that can’t be good.
the limiter acts like a compressor, sounds really cool when cranked up. With this amp you get the warmth of a 12ax7 tube Pre-amp, which the SWR Power 750 does not have.
What I Do NOT Like About The SWR Bass 750 Amplifier: There isn’t one damn thing I don’t like about this amp, I love it!
SWR Bass 750 Amplifier Quality Rating: Rock solid, It’s like the Harley of bass amps, it might get you laid, awsome sound and lots of chrome!!!!
Review Summary: If you’ve got $850 to spend on an amp, this is the your best bet!
