History:
Purchase: I`m an novice guitar player and was looking for something to give me a variety of sounds for my guitar.A salesman at Bill`s music house in Catonsville Md.turned me on to this unit.He demonstrated it for me and I bought it on the spot.I paid $110 for it.
What I Like About This Zoom 606: I like just about everything about this thing. It is very simple to operate and the manual explains it in easy to understand terms. It has 35 effects and you can use up to 9 of them simultaneously. The factory presets are great and will keep you busy for a long time. They can be altered or you can make your own and store them for future use.It has an expression pedal that can be assigned
to wah, volume, pitch, drive, delay, reverb, etc. It also runs on 6 AA batteries or AC adapter.Plus it has a built in tuner that is very accurate. It also has 3 different amp simulaters.
What I Do NOT Like About The Zoom 606: If this unit has any downfalls,it would be that it is made of plastic. Also the acoustic setting is kind of lame.
Zoom 606 Quality Rating: Like I said,It`s made of plastic, but it`s very hard plastic.Other than that,it`s very high quality.
Review Summary: This is the best buy for the bucks. Its large amount of effects and ease of use should keep anyone happy for a long time, beginner or pro.
