History:
Purchase: this was the first guitar i ever bought, it was cheap, it came in a package (amp, strap lead etc), it cost roughly £120 from my local music shop.
What I Like About This Peavey Raptor: at first i noticed it was one of the simplest guiars to learn on, it was easy to use, no frills all the essentials of a standard electric. It was also reliable becuase i owned it for roughly 5 years untill i eventually bought a vintage ibanez.
What I Do NOT Like About The Peavey Raptor: the strings seemed to snap to easily because of the bridge being worn away over the years, it also went out of tune a bit to often and couldnt be tuned down without the quality of sound being drasticly reduced.
Peavey Raptor Quality Rating: it is a solid construction, it took a few hits around the body, neck and head, it was scarred, but the play was not affected. The sound quality is not good, but it is possible to change the pickups easily.
Review Summary: GREAT GUITAR FOR BEGGINERS !!!!!!!
i played this guitar for years and practicly punished it, it stood the test of time and it gets my vote as being one of the best guitars in its price range.
Pity about the state of it now, almost unrecognisable from years of adjustment, colouring, and experimenting.
