Cadeson Review: 12x5½ Steel snare drum

Cadeson Drums Percussion

History:

Purchase: Bought it at Drum Bazar in Montreal, Qc. I was looking for an FX snare drum take might also work as a primary snare drum. I was also looking for an affordable snare drum. I got this one for 120$!!

What I Like About This Cadeson 12x5½ Steel snare drum: Considering the number of snare drums on the market ranging from nothing to overpriced, this snare drum is a deal. It sounds exactly as it should, cutting attack with a metal ring. Works great as a primary snare drum (If you're not playing any rim clicks) and will fit almost anywhere on the kit.

What I Do NOT Like About The Cadeson 12x5½ Steel snare drum: The diameter of the shell doesn't allow rim clicks because the shoulder of the stick extends to much the rim that is only 12". Lug on the player's side will loosen if you play rimshots but a few drumkey tweeking will do.

Cadeson 12x5½ Steel snare drum Quality Rating: Chrome plated 12x5½ steel shell with "Yamaha" style lugs. 2mm steel rims. Comes with Cadeson 1ply coated batter head and snare side. Overall quality is very good.

Review Summary: Best quality/price ratio for this kind of tool. A must have in your snare drum arsenal.
