Kustom Review: KPM7200

Kustom PA Gear

History:

Purchase: Paid $399 I bought this PA from Hames Music store I was looking for a PA that was louder than most drummers, and has good sound quality, with several user friendly features.Plus I didn't have alot of money to spend on a PA. I just needed something for friendly jam sessions + Partys and such....

What I Like About This Kustom KPM7200: The Kustom KPM7200 is very versitle it has a built in EQ, with 8 Effects all seperately adjustable for each of the 7 channels , 2 of which have direct Acoustic/Electric inputs for straight connection from a guitar w/o a direct box. Has a Monitor Output (Preamp) adjustable seperately on all channels. Playback (RCA type)input for CD player etc.. with Record output(RCA type). The Sound is very deep and Rich coming through the 12" speakers that came as part of the package (KSC12) especially while using the Large Room Reverb Effect. And this unit will get very loud (200 watts) loud enough to get above the drummer!!!!

What I Do NOT Like About The Kustom KPM7200: The tone control is a single knob pot.. You don't have as much control as a unit with seperate High, mids, lows. The Right and Left inputs for Playback are not true stereo inputs there tied together inside the unit for mono output.... but for the price the single tone control and the mono output works just fine.. You would have to spend ALOT more money to go stereo...

Kustom KPM7200 Quality Rating: Rugged built, Handles-one on Amp, two on each speaker, very strong... very easy to transport...

Review Summary: For the money it has been the best bang for the buck I've spent... I was very skeptical at first because it wasn't a Yamaha, Mackie, Fender etc.... but after I got it out of the box I was very pleased at the sound quality and loudness this unit produced for the money I spent..

Kustom KLA20R - Fine amp for a cheap practice amp or if you are just starting out. Very versatile as well. It is far from the best out there, but for the price, it may be the best deal for the money. 3.5 stars, not quite 4 stars. ...

Kustom KPM 4080 - I am fairly happy with this product. It is an inexpensive solution that I am actually using on my computer, of all places, right now. (I listen to a lot of music and play a lot of movies on it.) The small club that it was used in was about 1000 ...

Kustom The Defender - There are great tones to be had from this little amp! The Master Volume acts like an attenuator, and it doesn't need to be cranked to achieve a nice natural overdrive. Add a TS9DX and it gets right where it needs to be for Metal. Lastly, this thing i...

Kustom KBA100 Bass Amplifier - The KBA100 is a good amp and I would suggest it if you were looking to head into the studio or play medium size gigs. It is a little too big for just a single person practice but perfect for a band or group session. I would really rate this amp with ...

Kustom WAZ 2x12 - I can tell you that Kustom has done it again as it has for so many years. This is s functional jazz, blues, rock, whatever amp that delivers clear as a bell tones and offers tube driven leads that just sound great....
