History:
Purchase: I was surfing eBay for something different. I found this unique bass and the price was fantastic. I mainly bought it because it was a five string. I got it with a case for $550.00, it listed for around $850.00 or so.
What I Like About This Hohner B2A V Professional 5 String: I like the small size and ease of play. The neck through design makes the fretboard seem long but I have found this makes it a great deal easier to play than other bass body styles. I also like the oddness of it and it's beautiful stained finish.
What I Do NOT Like About The Hohner B2A V Professional 5 String: I don't like how hard it is to find strings for it. I live in a city and have many local music shops, but they can't seem to find the right set of strings, or any other brands to test tone. The rest of the bass is A+.
Hohner B2A V Professional 5 String Quality Rating: The bass is a headless, standard Steinbergger copy box body. Neckthrough solid maple. Ebony fretboard, 24 frets. Stained walnut. EMG select pickups, dual 3 band equalizer, active toggle and individual pickup volume control.
Review Summary: I like the bass. It can be warm and smooth or rough and growly. The pickups are amazing. Smooth playability.
