On 2002-08-14, Dale Clayton gave this Garrison Acoustic Guitar a 5...(2576)

Purchase: After traveling many different music shops in my city and trying out almost every accoustic guitar in the shop I settled for this one. I had picked it up in 2 different shops, not realising it was the same Guitar and both times it stood out. I paid A$900 ($450 US) which came with a hard case.
Pros: It sounds fantastic with medium gague strings. Very crisp and clear sound, quite suitable for the beginner or more advanced players. I love the balance, how it feels and its versatility. It can ben finger picked, hammered or strummed till your hearts content.
Cons: There isn't much to dislike about this guitar. The weight was my only concern but I was brought up using a Nylon string guitar... naturally lighter. Perhaps the only negative to it is the tuners are quite sensetive. I got used to this quickly and do not see it as a negative anymore.
Quality: This Canadian made guitar is made from solid Canadian birch. The fretboard and bridge are made from east indian rosewood. It uses the "Griffiths Active Bracing System" which is a fibreglass shell and enables the guitar to be produced faster without diminishing the quality. The brace does not hinder the sound at all as fiberglass carries vibrations beautifully.

Summary: Fabulous guitar. Great sound, feel and look. Comes with a case and will last its owner a lifetime. BRILLIANT!
