Ampeg Review: SVT -Classic

History:

Purchase: I purchased this unit at Guitar Center, Hollywood. I paid $1499.99. The unit was rented by Linkin Park for a video shoot and returned without the factory box so they were sold at a lower price.

What I Like About This Ampeg SVT -Classic: Pure power, hands down. This amp has a ton of juice and really drives a full stack. It also has that wonderfully warm tone that many palyers try to duplicate by the purchasing of pre-amps, and effects processors. No processor will ever duplicate the real thing. This is the best amp I have ever played through. I was sold on SWR equipment until by a recommendation when I was in the market for a new amp I was told to try out the SVT Classic. Man I was blown away. If you have the money this is one amp that will fulfill all your needs. Just look at how many players use ampeg, this will tell you the quality of thier products. They are also built very tough for years of use.

What I Do NOT Like About The Ampeg SVT -Classic: There is only one draw back to this unit. It weighs over 80 lbs. So if you are not willing to sweat moving your equipment this is not the amp for you.

Ampeg SVT -Classic Quality Rating: Rock solid construction.
