History:
Purchase: I purchased this unit from a local Mars Music for $69.99.
What I Like About This Dunlop Original Cry Baby Wah: This unit has a good sound. The construction is top notch, and it feels nice. The wah effect is awsome for a funky rythem sound clean, and is not to bad for solos overdriven. I also like the range this unit gets.
What I Do NOT Like About The Dunlop Original Cry Baby Wah: Well,uh, er, I guess the range could be a little bigger, but that is about it.
Dunlop Original Cry Baby Wah Quality Rating: Its built like a tank, you'd prolly have a hard time breaking it. Plus it comes with a nice warranty.
Review Summary: Lemme wrap it up by stating what other people said to trash the pedal.
"I hate having to press the expression pedal down so hard all the time to turn it on."
Jeese its not that hard, maybe Kurt Kobain would have a hard time, but comon.....
"The signal will also stop sometimes also when passing through"
If that happens send it in and they'll fix it, but it has never happened to me.
"This unit is also heavy for a pedal this size."
Wimps......
"Wah effect is quite bland"
To me it sounds fine, throw on a compressor, boost the bass and you'll be slammin funk or blues, I mean you gotta just work with it and you'll eventually find the right settings...
"it goes from bassey to trebley too quick when switched"
Then slow your foot, it has a moderatley bigger range than a VOX or something, you just gotta get used to it.
I gave it a 4 because I know there is something better out there but this unit it #1 for any wah under $150. (Roger Moore Vision Wah $400, that thing sounds so friggin awsome)
