Fender Review: Tom DeLonge Signature Model Stratocaster

Fender Electric Guitars

History:

Purchase: I bought this from musiciansfriend.com for around $450

What I Like About This Fender Tom DeLonge Signature Model Stratocaster: VERY DURABLE WOOD AND MATERIAL!!! I've had this for a year now, and it's been throughh many bumps and scratchs, but the paint looks good, and nothing has chipped! Seymour Duncan Invader sounds O.K. not bad, not too good. The tuners arent bad either. gets out of tune every two days. looks good, especially the pickguard.

What I Do NOT Like About The Fender Tom DeLonge Signature Model Stratocaster: The neck. The back of the neck is hard on the hands because of its contour, and the strings are furder apart than a normal guitar would. otherwise, its alright.

Fender Tom DeLonge Signature Model Stratocaster Quality Rating: The construction is very well made from mexico. does not break easily, i usually stand it against the table and not use my guitar hook... and 1/5 times it falls over. but still no scratches or dents

Review Summary: strong. ok sound. awkward neck feeling

Rating of this Fender product: 3

Fender Deluxe 112 - I think this amp is overpriced and only good for people who dont know any better. If you have ever had a great amp you will probably not like it. It does have power, but the tones it can produce, although varied, are of a very cheapass variety. I wo...

Fender Squier II Stratocaster - I didn't need to do much with this guitar, although I figured I'd make it unique. After playing it for a while, I found that the pickups that were in it (obviously replaced, and later found out replaced with Seymour Duncans) worked out to the tone I ...

Fender DG-11E - The bottom line is that this guitar is an excellent instrument for any level player. I honestly don't see the difference between a beginner guitar and an advanced players guitar. It seems like if it's a piece of crap than it's a begginner guitar. We...

Fender MIM Standard Jazz - BOTTOM LINE. MEXICAN FENDER BASSES ARE ALMOST AS GOOD AS THE AMERICAN FENDERS. EXCEPT FOR THE PICKUPS! BUT LETS FACE IT- NOTHING IS BETTER THAN AMERICAN MADE! UNITED WE STAND!...

Fender Frontman 15B - All in all a good practice amp. It was the best, then it wasnt, now the re-issue is a serious contender. For under one hundered pounds, check out this, the Marshall or the Laney. This is possibly the longest review Ive ever written you know. Well i...

Fender American Fat Strat - I would tell you to buy this guitar but I don't want all my fellow guitarist out there having as rich of a tone as me. So don't get one, it really sucks, I've changed my mind and I think it sounds like hail on a tin roof. Super thin sound, the neck f...

Fender Stratocaster (Mexican) - Bottom line is that I am glad I got it. It's my first Strat and I'm very happy with it. It's another one that will stay in the family for a long time. I can easily 'hot rod' it if I want, or leave it like it is and know that it will be consistant....

Fender DG-8 - It is a great instrument all around...
