Dean Review: Exotica Freedom FMSL TBK

Dean Acoustic Guitars

History:

Purchase: I ordered this unit from,"Oklahoma city guitars".I saw it on ebay and thought it was breathtakingly beautiful.I immediately bid on it and one it for $499.00 with a case. The guitar with a case lists for about $700.00

What I Like About This Dean Exotica Freedom FMSL TBK: First of all looks!!!It has a gray and black flamed maple finish, ivory white binding all around the neck and body,an abilone rosette, and most importantly, there is an inlay of the arm and torch of the statue of liberty shooting up the fretboard in mother of pearl. The smoke from the torch spells freedom,(also in mother of pearl). The guitar has great projection and sounds wonderful plugged in.

What I Do NOT Like About The Dean Exotica Freedom FMSL TBK: the inner lining is falling out of The case it came with. The strings it came with were of low quality and made the guitar sound horrible.

Dean Exotica Freedom FMSL TBK Quality Rating: The construction is excellent. The overall quality is that of a $2000.00 guitar

Review Summary: This guitar is a limited edition. It commemerates a very difficult time in our history. As a work of art,it conveys patriotism and freedom in a very tasteful way.The maple gives it a very bold distinct sound and the electronics are excellent.

Rating of this Dean product: 5

Dean Perfomer Plus Acoustic Electric - For the price, I got exactly what i was expecting. This is in no way the be all and end all of acoustic basses. If you want a cheap knock-aronud bass for playing unplugged, then this piece works great, but if you'er looking for something to plug in ...

Dean Tradition S 6 String - I would buy another Dean in a heartbeat; acoustic or electric. This guitar can project some volume. When I told my wife I was going to buy an acoustic she was like "Oh, good. I like the sound of those..." Over the distorted sounds of my electrics. I ...

Dean K-15X - This amp is not that great. I plan on getting a Marshall 15 watt amp when i get enough money. I am an intemediate player, self taught, and i know there are plenty of good amps out there, that are better, so i will just keep saving up. ...

Dean Tradition S12 - If you want a 12-string, save up the extra $$ and buy an Ovation, or better yet, a Guild F512R. Although the Ovation utilizes only a single tension bar, that bar sits in an aluminum channel, in effect, doubling it's stress reduction capacity, which ...
