History:
Purchase: I bought this microphone off of Ebay for $90. I've seen some of them sell for quite a bit more.
What I Like About This Unit: This microphone is great. It is well constructed, very sturdy, and comes with a nice shock mount. It is competitively priced, but there is no aspect of cheapness about it. It does a very good job of recording guitars, bass, vocals, and cello. It has a very nice low end, and would be comparable to other high-end mics with 1" diaphragms.
What I Do NOT Like About The Apex 130 Microphone: You have to get your own case, since it only comes with a zippered pouch.
130 Microphone Quality: The mic appears to be of superior construction and is very sturdy. I would compare it to an AKG mic. In no way does it feel cheap.
Summary: This is a much better mic than any Shure mic that I have used. It is a really good deal if you can find it under $130.
