Zildjian Review: Z Custom 18" Rock Crash

History:

Purchase: Guitar Center in w. covina, ca. the people in the drum department are really helpful. i was deciding between an A Custom Projection 18" Crash, K Custom Dark 18" Crash, or Z Custom 18" Rock crash. they were pretty patient with me too. I chose the Z Custom bc it had the sustain i like and power and cut i was looking for in a crash. got it for 160 and then paid 20 bucks extra for 2 year cover if i crack it.

What I Like About This Zildjian Z Custom 18" Rock Crash: it cuts through everything nicely. its a little on the dark side. when i use this baby, it seems like it turns my whole drum set up a couple volumes. plus, you can hit it as hard as you'd like to and it'd take that blow easily. i know this is going to last me for a long time. oh yeah, the computer spiral hammering plus the brilliant finish make your set look really nice.

What I Do NOT Like About The Zildjian Z Custom 18" Rock Crash: of course... with a brilliant finish come finger prints and stick marks and such. i dont like that i have 1 z custom. i want to get another one. perhaps a 19" rock crash.

Zildjian Z Custom 18" Rock Crash Quality Rating: VERY HIGH QUALITY. just hold the baby in your hand and you'll feel the power. tap it lightly with your finger and it'll gently sing. really nice. you could throw it down off of your house and step on it and it'd still sound the same w/o any tonal degration. but dont try it.
