Fender Review: Jimmy Vaughan Tex-Mex

History:

Purchase: I got this guitar used for $250. I knew the guy well and was able to get a good deal.

What I Like About This Fender Jimmy Vaughan Tex-Mex: I love the good bluesy sound of this guitar. The pickups are good, but i uprgraded to EMG's. Then i replaced the machine heads with Schaller's. Both of these things have enhanced the sound.

What I Do NOT Like About The Fender Jimmy Vaughan Tex-Mex: The pickplate is very thin, but that's easily solved for $30.

Fender Jimmy Vaughan Tex-Mex Quality Rating: I have a rosewood fretboard, which is what i prefer. The arctic white color is my favorite.

Review Summary: A great guitar for a reasonable price. If you like great tone, but don't like spending thousands this is the guitar for you.
