Purchase: I bought this guitar for $499.00 after playing it at a local music shop. After picking up a long line of acoustics by Fender, Tacoma, Yamaha, and Gibson, I picked up the washburn and hit a G chord and was blown away instantly!
Pros: The first thing you notice when you pick it up is how "Real" it feels. This is a very well made guitar and you can tell it just by picking it up. The tone is incredable! with low lows and just right highs, it sounds much better than my 67 Gibson C&W.
Cons: The finish. It is a matt finish and I am having a hard time getting used to it. But it could look like a rusted hood from a 71 Pinto and I would buy over 95% of the other guitars I've played. This guitar sounds great!
Quality: I have been a professional musician for over 16 years and I am hard on my gear. This guitar is so well built that it will go from the stage to the bus and get banged on by everybody and his brother and still be in tune and sounding great at the next gig. I will put the quality and tone of this guitar up against any Martin, Gibson or Taylor.
Summary: If you've got $1000.00 to spend on the best sounding, best playing acoustic guitar you can find, put $500.00 back in your pocket and buy this guitar! There is no way you can go wrong with it.
