History:
Purchase: I heard about this guitar from "Musicians Friend Catalog". I liked the price and the fact that it was made in the USA. I paid $599.00 for the Highway 1 Strat.
What I Like About This Unit: I like the fact that it's "Made in the USA". It says that on the headstock and that's important to me. It's all American Quality, it has a tight neck pocket and a great neck. I love the tone. The neck is the American Standard Neck. My guitar is flawless. My color is Sapphire Blue and it looks great. It has a great classic Strat tone.
What I Do NOT Like About The Fender Highway 1 Strat: I have no dislikes!
Highway 1 Strat Quality: Great neck, perfect frets, tremendous playability. Nice wood grain showing through Sapphire blue. Tight neck pocket. American made hardware. It is made in the USA, so it's as good as the American Standard Strat.
Summary: I'm extremely pleased with this guitar and it's sound and construction. I would buy it with confidence. It's not a gamble in terms of quality or sound.
