History:
Purchase: I really wanted to expand my set a little bit and was deciding between Remo's Rototoms and these from Tama. Remo's line were a little more expensive and I was wary about the lack of a shell and sound quality, so I bought these. For $110, they were a steal.
What I Like About This Tama Mini Toms ( 8" and 10" ): It was worth every penny, they compliment my set perfectly. The sound quality is excellent, and ads an extra dimension to your sound, whether it is making those tom runs extra long and full, or tune them high and give a little latin sound to your set. Plus fully adjustable and can sit anywhere you want.
What I Do NOT Like About The Tama Mini Toms ( 8" and 10" ): Although the mount is fully adjustable, it sometimes takes a while to get them right where you want them.
Tama Mini Toms ( 8" and 10" ) Quality Rating: They are extremely durable. Very strong thick aluminum shells, and mount is built the same.
Review Summary: Overall, I would reccomend this product for any drummer looking to expand his kit a little. Even if you do have a lot of dough to spend, this is a quality addition for a moderate to low price.
