Purchase: I paid about $150 USD for this guitar, used, at a local shop.
Pros: I'm pretty pleased with it. It's got a very nice tone overall. It's pretty light compared to most other guitars, but it can really scream.
Cons: The G string seems to have a tendency to get out of tune, and doesn't like getting back into it either, but that's not a large problem. The 16th fret seems to be a dead spot on this guitar, which is rather unfortunate.
Quality: It was made pretty well, though I have had some trouble with the input nut coming loose.

Summary: A VERY good deal for the price I got it at. I wouldn't recommend it as a permanent guitar, but it would serve someone very well who is just starting.

On 2002-12-02, Moti Zilberman gave this Ibanez Electric Guitar a 4...(3189)

Purchase: I bought this guitar at the local music shop several months ago. I traded in a broken Ibanez EX-270 for it, so I paid only about $200, but the original price was a little less than $500. This is my second electric guitar, and as such, it's not bad.
Pros: Well, it's fairly playable. A bit smaller than most electric guitars, but that's a good thing - It has a long neck like any guitar and it's lighter on the shoulder. It has five pickups and a five-way selector, which provide great tonal diversity for this guitar's price. Thankfully, it doesn't have a Floyd Rose bridge... Though I'm biased, as my previous guitar had a lousy one which made the guitar impossible to tune, let alone restring.
Cons: Like I said, it's FAIRLY playable, not VERY playable. Although this is the guitar I have made the most progress with as a beginning guitarist, having also played some Strats - even Squiers - I noticed they were much easier to play. The lack of a Floyd Rose bridge is both good and bad. Good, because I hate Floyd Rose bridges... Bad, because I can't use a tremolo bar without detuning the strings in the process. Not that this guitar can stay in tune very long anyway...
Quality: Overall, it's ok... I think quite fondly of it since it is practically my first guitar as a "real" guitarist. There used to be some serious fret buzz in the beginning, but that was more or less sorted out, except for the low-E string which still buzzes an awful lot.

Summary: Great as a first guitar (or second, for that matter). After that, I'd get either an Ibanez RG or a Strat.
